Retractable Fly Screens That Keep Mosquitoes Out

Pleated fly screens neatly stack away or unfold as you open or close them. Moving away from the cassette design with a spring tensioned mechanism that is traditionally used in blinds, pleated screens provide an alternative that combines both durability and high quality.

Retractable fly screens can be extended or withdrawn as needed, as they are designed with a spring-loaded tube that facilitates the rolling and unrolling. The fly screen is housed in a roll of mesh within a cassette that works similarly to a roller blind. Complete with small tracks and compact housing, retractable fly screens don’t take up a lot of space. This discreet design not only preserves the aesthetic of your home but also conserves space.

Retractable fly screens are versatile and can be installed on various door types, including bifold doors, sliding doors, and French doors. Their design features a spring-loaded mechanism, similar to a roller blind, which allows for easy rolling and unrolling of the screen. The compact housing and slim tracks of retractable fly screens mean they blend seamlessly with these door types, providing a discreet and space-saving solution that complements your home's aesthetics.

Yes, retractable fly screens can be installed on casement windows. The most frequently chosen option for windows is a Roll-Up screen, although in certain cases, a pleated screen might be a better fit. Whether your windows serve as a stylistic centrepiece or as practical features for ventilation, installing Artilux’s premium retractable fly screens can cater to both needs. These screens maximize airflow and maintain your views with a seamless installation process. The final setup is discreet, ensuring your windows remain functional and aesthetically pleasing, ready to handle any scenario.

Installing retractable fly screens may seem straightforward, but it's often more complex than typical DIY projects. Considerations include ensuring level and square fittings and avoiding obstructions from carpets or tiles. Here are key reasons to consider professional installation:

• Time and complexity: Understanding and correctly installing these screens can be time-consuming, especially for those new to such projects.
• Measurement accuracy: Errors in measuring can lead to issues with custom-made screens that may not be easily returnable or adjustable.
• Choosing the right screen: Professionals can recommend the best screen for your specific needs and home layout.
• Installation risks: Incorrect installation can lead to functional problems, and without professional help, resolving these issues can be challenging.

In summary, professional installation ensures accuracy, functionality, and peace of mind, saving you time and potential difficulties.

At Artilux, our retractable fly screens work via a simple, yet ingenious mechanism: a roll of mesh that works similar to a roller blind, but instead is spring-loaded. The mesh rolls out of a cassette that’s discreet and hidden from view. Our cassettes can be fitted horizontally – for pull-down fly screens – or vertically. We add soft closers into the spring tensioning to our rolls of mesh. This means if you extend and release the screen, it will roll gently back into the cassette for convenient, seamless extension and hiding away.
